Community

Our vision is to be an integral part of the communities we work within by supporting them in their endeavours to make life better, ensuring that they are more safe, secure and healthier than yesterday.

Whilst the company in itself is a community of people, we also recognise and support the wider communities that we and our employees touch – whether they be geographical or bourne out of common interest.

Ex-forces

We work to ensure all vacancies across the group are communicated to ex-forces personnel, actively encouraging their applications.

The company is a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant and has registered with the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme and has received a bronze award for these efforts.

Marlowe offers ex-military colleagues 5 days paid leave per annum to help them discharge any ongoing obligations without facing financial burden.

Apprenticeships

We recognise the crucial importance of apprenticeships in fostering community development and creating equal opportunities for all.

Consequently, apprentices constitute approximately 3% of our workforce annually.

Our apprenticeship programs provide individuals with the opportunity to attain an NVQ Level 3 qualification, while gaining invaluable field experience and comprehensive on-the-job training.

We are proud members of the 5% Club, an organization dedicated to helping its members and all employers increase the number, quality, and range of earn & learn opportunities across the UK.

By joining the 5% Club, we demonstrate our commitment to increasing the proportion of our workforce in apprenticeships to 5%.

Joining the club will help us achieve and exceed this goal.

Work experience

We also offer valuable work experience opportunities to students, providing them with hands-on exposure to the fire and security industry and practical insights into the professional world.

We believe in fostering young talent and supporting their growth, helping to build a skilled and knowledgeable workforce for the future.

Through this program, we hope that students will be inspired to join our team in the future.

Marfund

The Marlowe Charitable Fund (MarFund) was established to demonstrate our financial commitment to supporting the charitable efforts of our team members.

Since 2021, we have focused on supporting local charities and those closely linked to our team. Each year, we set a fundraising target for charities or community events advocated by our employees or external requests from the community, showing our support for a variety of good causes.
