Employee health and safety

As a growing business, Marlowe Fire & Security Group is dedicated to safeguarding the mental and physical health and well-being of our employees.

Our people are our greatest asset, and we recognize the significant role we play in supporting them through life’s changes and challenges.

To this end, we operate an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), providing free counseling services to employees seeking advice on health issues, financial concerns, career planning, substance abuse, and legal matters.

Additionally, we have a team of trained mental health champions available to address more complex situations employees may encounter.

Protecting our employees’ physical health is equally important to us. We offer all staff the opportunity to undergo an annual health check through specialist providers who visit our offices.

Furthermore, all employees are eligible for a free annual flu jab. Staff can also benefit from our Cycle2Work scheme, providing a low cost, environmentally friendly and healthier way to commute to work.

Given the nature of our business, many of our employees spend their working days on the road, one of the highest areas of risk for employee safety.

To address this, we have implemented vehicle monitoring through GeoTab. This system encourages safe and positive driving behavior, which not only enhances road safety but also saves fuel, reduces emissions, and mitigates the risks associated with frequent driving.

Through these measures, we aim to improve safety on the roads for everyone

Employee engagement

At Marlowe Fire & Security Group we understand the direct correlation between engaged employees and a high-performance culture.

Therefore, we measure employee engagement scores annually to identify areas for improvement and set objectives to address the greatest opportunities.

Since the introduction of this initiative in 2018, our engagement score has improved by 8%.

Diversity, equality and inclusivity

Marlowe Fire & Security Group has a strong commitment to ensuring its workplace is diverse, inclusive and equal.

Where possible, we actively encourage people with disabilities to come and work with us, made possible due to the flexibility and work from home opportunities we provide.

Additionally, our employee handbook details the stance we have against any discrimination, harassment and bullying.

We are continually seeking the best talent in the marketplace, adopting a best fit for role approach when hiring.

At important milestones within employees’ careers, we make use of a merit-based approach during probation reviews, pay reviews and promotional opportunities.

We are striving for both BS76005 and Investors in People accreditation, demonstrating our commitment to increasing our inclusivity and enhancing employee development.
