We are committed to conducting our business operations without causing adverse impacts on the environment, recognising the urgency of the current climate crisis.

We actively work to reduce the environmental footprint of our activities and supply chain, believing businesses must take responsibility for the long-term sustainability of our planet.

Emissions

We have set ambitious goals to reduce our Scope 1, 2, and 3 CO2 emissions by 10% annually. One of our key initiatives involves enhancing the environmental efficiency of our fleet.

The nature of our business requires a large vehicle fleet, which we have chosen to make eco-friendly. Staff choosing a company car also have the option of choosing an electric vehicle despite their additional cost.

GeoTab vehicle monitoring has been implemented across all field engineering vehicles to promote environmentally friendly driving behaviors.

This has resulted in a significant 7% annual reduction in fuel consumption since implementation.

Office environmental initiatives

In our offices, we prioritise energy efficiency with LED sensor lights, efficient heating and cooling systems, and comprehensive recycling programs.

We also incorporate water-saving technologies and provide electric charger points for staff and company vehicles at our head office.

Waste management

Our commitment to sustainability extends to waste management. We comply with the WEEE directive, ensuring responsible recycling of electronic equipment, fire extinguishers and batteries.

Over 90% of our security system components are reused or recycled, and we source all employee IT equipment from refurbished suppliers and implement a robust system for refurbishing or recycling end-of-life IT equipment, significantly reducing our annual IT waste volume.

To drive continuous improvement, we conduct independent environmental assessments of our operations, to establish baselines and identify areas for enhancement.
